Interviews with Verity and Rose through the years
Teen Magazine 2014
"What's the most admiring quality you have for each other?"
R: I know you expect me to say your its your style, but I really admire your brains.
V: Omg noooo. You can’t make fun of me in the first question!
R: I’m not! always been the risk-taker, the one who's not afraid to push boundaries and challenge the status quo. I admire that about her. She's got this uncanny ability to think on her feet, to find creative solutions to problems that would stump me. When were first going on the scene we were swinging from invite to invite to stay in the scene and that was all Verity knowing where she wanted to go. She's like a chess player, always thinking three moves ahead. And even when things get chaotic, she remains unflappable. Sometimes, I feel like I'm too cautious, too bound by expectations. Verity reminds me that sometimes, you need to take a leap of faith, to trust your instincts and adapt.
V: I hate you so much! I was going to say that I admired your taste is men, but I guess we’re being sincere today. Rose has the biggest heart in the world honestly and I admire her for it so much. If there’s a truth in her heart, there’s nothing that going to stop her from saying it or doing it. Sure, its gotten us into trouble, like that time we did Big Brother with Barbara Bush, but may I remind you that in 2013 Rose is the one who said that the Sinclair Building’s roof garden is the most beautiful place in the city and every couple should have the right to get married there.
R: And when Marriage Equality was passed, we were booked for the next five years by the end of the day.
"What's the most meaningful memory you've shared together?"
R: Verity and I have a long history of getting into trouble. But one night stands out.
V: Oh, this should be good.
R: We snuck out of a charity gala and explored the estate. We stumbled upon an abandoned greenhouse, and Verity, being the thrill-seeker she is, insisted we investigate.
V: Rose was hesitant, as usual. But I knew she secretly loved the adventure."
R: I loved the potential for scientific discovery. You loved the potential for getting caught.
V: That's what made it exciting! Inside, we found our grandmother's old botanical journals and experiments.
R: Verity was captivated by the 'romanticism' of it all, while I was fascinated by the scientific methods.
V: Rose reduced it to Petri dishes and microscopes, but I saw the beauty in our grandmother's passion.
R: And I saw the logic. But together, we made it work.
V: That night, we connected on a deeper level. We realized our family's legacy was about more than just wealth or status.
R: It was about curiosity, discovery, and not getting caught sneaking out.
V: That's the essence of our relationship, Rose.
"How do you handle disagreements or conflicts?"
R: Verity and I have a time-tested method: we argue, we yell, and then I rationalize her emotions away.
V: That's not exactly how it goes, but close enough.
R: I'm the voice of reason, Verity's the emotional compass. Together, we find middle ground.
V: Mostly, Rose just wears me down with her logic.
R: It's not about wearing you down, Verity. It's about presenting irrefutable facts. Someone has to keep you grounded.
V: And in the end, I let her decide that I'm right.
"What's the biggest sacrifice you've made for each other?"
R: For me, the biggest sacrifice was keeping Verity's secrets. There have been times when she's gotten herself into... complicated situations, and I've had to cover for her or help her clean up the mess. I mean, this girl's got more drama than a Real Housewives reunion.
V: Rose's being diplomatic, as usual.
R: Someone's got to keep you out of trouble, Ver. But seriously, I have to overlook things that would normally raise red flags.
V: Rose's always been my partner in crime, even when I'm being reckless.
R: I'd rather you didn't phrase it that way.
V: "Sorry, Rose. But seriously, you've always had my back, even when I didn't deserve it.
R: That's what sisters are for, right?
V: "As for me, I've made sacrifices in my personal relationships. People often assume I'm this carefree socialite, but Rose's the only one who truly gets me. To maintain our bond, I've had to end relationships that didn't understand or respect our connection.
R: Verity's had to deal with people who don't comprehend our twin dynamic. They'd try to drive us apart or use our relationship for their own gain.
V: But Rose's always been my rock. I've learned to prioritize our bond over fleeting relationships. Now, can we please get back to more interesting topics... like my latest designer handbag collection?
"What's the one thing you wish people understood about your sister?"
R: That Verity's not just a pretty face, although, let's be real, she's stunning. But seriously, people underestimate her intelligence and creativity. That’s her façade – all sweetness and smiles until she takes you down with her witty banter."
V: Rose's just mad because I always win our arguments.
R: That's not true. I let you win sometimes.
V: Sure, Rose. Keep telling yourself that.
R: But honestly, Verity's empathy and compassion inspire me. She sees the best in people, even when they don't deserve it.
V: Aww, thanks, Rose. Now, about you, people think Rose's just a tough, analytical, beautiful robot, but she's a total softie. She's got a heart of gold, even if she doesn't want to admit it.
R: Don’t go spreading that around, Verity. I have a reputation to maintain.
V: Too late, sis. I’m telling everyone about your secret love of rom-coms!
"How do you celebrate each other's successes?"
V: We started this tradition when we were like 11.
R: We go to the Miami Design District and pick out the ugliest outfit we can find for the other one to wear to their next big event.
V: We try to keep each other humble.
R: I’ve been feature on the Best Dressed List three times in outfits Verity ‘celebrated’ me with.
V: What can I say? Even my bad taste is good.

"How has your relationship changed now that you're pursuing different paths?"
R: I'm not sure I buy into the notion that our relationship is somehow remarkable simply because we've chosen different careers. Varity and I share a bond that transcends our professional choices. We've always been close, and that hasn't changed.
V: Indeed, our relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust. Rose's...unconventional choices notwithstanding I admire her conviction, even if I don't always understand it.
R: And I appreciate Varity's unwavering commitment to her own personal passions, even if it's no longer exactly my cup of tea.
V: Well, someone has to keep a social calendar intact. Rose's certainly not equipped to handle that.
R: I think I'll survive without going to a club opening every weekend, thanks.
"It's clear you two have a strong dynamic. Do you think your differing paths have brought you closer together or driven you apart?"
V: I think it's a bit of both, honestly. We've had to adapt to each other's changes, but ultimately, our bond remains unbreakable.
R: I'm not sure I agree. Our differences have certainly created...tension. But we're working through it.
V: Rose's being diplomatic. We're fine, darling.
R: Oh, absolutely fine.
"Do you ever see yourselves collaborating on a project together?"
V: Perhaps something benefiting Miami's underprivileged communities. Rose's detective work could help identify areas of need, while my social connections could secure funding and resources.
R: That's not a bad idea. But I'd need to be involved in the planning stages, ensuring our goals align.
V: I wouldn't have it any other way, Rose.
"How do you support each other's endeavors?"
R: Varity's always been my sounding board. When I'm working on a tough case, she listens without judgment and offers a fresh perspective. She also... (pauses) tolerates my erratic schedule."
V: Tolerates is one word for it. Seriously, Rose knows I'm here for her, no matter what. I attend her charity events, and she... well, she tries to attend mine.
R: Hey, I've made an effort to understand the social scene better."
V:And I've learned to appreciate Rose's dedication to justice. We may not always understand each other's worlds, but we support each other's passions.
"What's the biggest misconception people have about your lives?"
V: People assume I'm just a socialite, that my life is all glamour and parties. But they don't see the work that goes into maintaining a public image, the pressure to constantly perform.
R: And people think I'm just a detective, that I'm only about solving cases. But they don't see the emotional toll it takes, the weight of responsibility. Varity helps me stay grounded.
V: Exactly. We're more than our public personas. We're complex, multifaceted women.
R: And we're not defined solely by our relationship. We're individuals with our own strengths and weaknesses."
"What's the most important lesson you've learned from each other?"
R: Varity's taught me the value of empathy and understanding. As a detective, I sometimes focus on facts and evidence, but Varity reminds me to consider the human side.
V: Rose's shown me that there's more to life than superficial appearances. Her dedication to justice has inspired me to use my influence for good.
R: And Varity's helped me see that sometimes, the most powerful tool is compassion, not confrontation."
V: Exactly. You get more flies with honey than with vinegar. We balance each other out. Rose keeps me grounded, and I help her see the bigger picture.

"What inspired you to trade in your designer heels for a detective's badge?"
R: I’ve always had passion for justice. I think I’ve done as much as I can with the platform I have, I want to get down in the dirt to help people. Especially seeing how our father’s accident was handled, I just knew I had to help other people find their answers.
"What's the most surprising thing you've learned on the force so far?"
R: It’s certainly not like it is on TV, no one looks like David Boreanaz or Dulé Hill, and no one is as clever as Columbo.
"How do you balance your high-society upbringing with the grittiness of police work?"
R: I've figured out how to balance my high-society upbringing with the grittiness of police work. I don't let my background define me, and I've learned to use it to my advantage. I've got a great team behind me, and together, we get the job done. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, and I'm always willing to listen and learn.
"What's your favorite part about being a detective?"
R: I love the rush of the unknown, the thrill of unraveling a mystery that everyone else thinks is unsolvable. People underestimate me because of my past, but that's exactly what fuels me. I've been judged, stereotyped, and written off as just another rich girl. But now, I get to turn those expectations on their head. It’s moment when the pieces click into place, and I see the bigger picture. It's like solving a puzzle, and it's addictive. But it's not just about solving the case; it's about giving a voice to those who've been silenced or overlooked.
"Is it true you're only using your detective job as a way to gain insider info for your family's business dealings?"
R: That's a tired rumor, and I'm surprised you'd even bother repeating it. People think they can pigeonhole me because of my family's name, but they're wrong. If people think I'm using my position for personal gain, that's their problem. I'm not here to satisfy their preconceptions. I'm here to seek justice, no matter where it leads.
Verity Interview People Magazine 2023
"What drives your passion for music and nightlife management?"
V: Music and the nightlife scene have given me a platform to set the trend my whole life. I’ve grown up seeing what’s come, gone, and what’s stuck around. My passion comes from all that this scene has given me and now I want to give back. I’m ready for the next stage of my life to not just be an influencer but a staple in the resonance of life being lived excessively.
"How do you respond to critics who say you're only successful because of your family name?"
V: I’d say their right. If you want to talk about where I started it was because people knew my last name before my first. I got noticed because I was wearing things only fourth generation wealth can afford. But my family name isn’t just a place holder for a credit card number, the Sinclair’s are known for being intelligent, calculating, and passionate. I come from a long line of innovators, and I’d never deny that. I am successful become of my family’s name, but I put in the effort to capitalize on it.
"What's the most exciting project you're working on right now?"
V: I can’t say a lot but there might be some remodels to some staples of the club scene this summer.
"How do you handle the pressure of living up to your family's legacy?"
V: It’s daunting at times; you know especially since my father’s accident. I know there was a lot of confusion in the press last summer when he passed, and the company got split three ways. Of course, Rose and I had expected to inherit fully, but you know Father was very close, apparently, with his great uncle. It’s fine, they defer things to us, most times it’s like he doesn’t exist. Can we cut this question?
"What's your favorite way to spend a night out in the city?"
V: Clubs, clubs, clubs! This city is teaming with culture and venues. Every time I think I’ve seen everything there’s a whole new world just around the corner.
"Rumor has it you're secretly funding a rival business venture to compete with your family's empire. Care to comment?"
V: No comment says too much. Of course not! I'm flattered people think I'm that savvy. I'm not funding rivals; I'm just fueling the fire of innovation. And who knows, maybe that fire will burn bright enough to illuminate new opportunities.
