Cub's Background

 Human Life:  

Before his Embrace, Cub was a rising star in the adult entertainment industry. Known in underground circles for his gay porn career, he portrayed a dominant and confident persona on-screen. However, beneath the surface, his life lacked meaningful connections, and he felt emotionally detached despite his fame. The fast-paced lifestyle, though thrilling at first, eventually drained him. His career became a shield to hide from deeper emotional vulnerabilities, and he led an isolated existence despite being surrounded by admirers and peers. He was always in control on camera, but off-camera, he craved something more authentic.  

The Embrace:  

Cub’s transition into vampirism was sudden and violent, leaving him with complete amnesia. All memories of his human life—his career, relationships, and even his real name—are gone. The only remnants are flashes of familiarity, triggered by certain objects or sensations from his past life, such as old memorabilia or certain names. His sire, Ronyn, saw potential in Cub's raw survival instincts and took him under his wing. Ronyn, the Sheriff of Miami, values strength and loyalty, and Cub has grown fiercely loyal to him in return, viewing him as a mentor and protector.  

Life as a Vampire:  

As a fledgling, Cub is still adjusting to his new life and the challenges of vampirism. He has never consumed human blood, relying instead on animal blood, which keeps him grounded and connected to his humanity. His animalistic instincts manifest strongly through his mastery of Gangrel disciplines, such as Animalism and Protean. Cub’s connection to his familiar, a bear named Bear, is a source of comfort and strength. Despite his primal nature, Cub has retained much of his moral compass and is driven to help others when possible.  

Territory and Politics:  

Though naturally nomadic like many Gangrel, Cub is determined to carve out his place in the Miami domain, particularly working security for the upcoming Elysium. With few Gangrel in Miami, he feels a strong sense of duty to protect the territory and those close to him. He is cautious of others, especially his coterie member Gus, whom he suspects may be involved in his death. He is still learning the nuances of vampire politics but often turns to Ronyn for guidance to ensure he doesn’t step over any unseen boundaries.  

Discovering His Past:  

Recently, Cub stumbled upon items from his past life, including old photos and clips from his time as a porn star. These discoveries stirred complex emotions—familiarity mixed with confusion—and have led him to quietly search for more information about who he was. Though this pursuit has become an obsession, he keeps it hidden from his coterie, wary of their reactions.  

Current Goals:  

1. Protect his new family: Cub’s loyalty lies with Ronyn and those who care for him. He feels a strong need to protect his newfound family, especially from the dangers of vampiric society.  

2. Understand his past: The amnesia haunts Cub, and the fragmented memories push him to discover more about his former life. The discovery of his past as a porn star has only added to his confusion.  

3. Keep his Beast in check: Having never tasted human blood, Cub fights to maintain control over his Beast and preserve his humanity.  

4. Protect the territory in Miami: Cub is focused on ensuring the safety of the Miami domain, especially in his role working security for Elysium.
